Hey TOP Ranch Riders! So tell us, who’s your favorite horse?! With Smoke and Pepper being formally retired we will also have some new guys coming to the program. We are so excited and can’t wait for you to ride with us! We have been busy painting some of our new jumps! Look forward to the STONE WALL jump and adorable FLOWER BOX! Summer can’t come soon enough!
As the world advances on so many fronts (technology, medicine, etc.), so do our Top Cooks Campers’ palates!! We are heading towards yet another terrific summer program for our future chefs and look forward to venturing into new culinary territories. While the chocolate chip cookie and brownie are delicious treats and best made from scratch, French and Italian-inspired pastries are even better! Stay tuned to hear what our campers are creating in the summer of 2013!
Coming off an incredible NCAA tournament and with the NBA Playoffs right ahead of us, now is a great time to be thinking about TOP Basketball Camp in 2013! We are excited to take a great summer in 2012 and make it even better. Our staff is working hard to continue to develop the most focused and fun program around. Can’t wait to lace ‘em up with you in Greeley, PA!

Hey, Hey, Hey! Even though it’s only fall, we’re gearing up for a great summer at TOP Overnight Camps.
Individual camps for Cooking, Adventure, Horseback Riding (girls) and Basketball – we offer top-notch instruction while also allowing campers to participate in other traditional camp activities including: Riflery, Swimming, Gymnastics, Tennis, Arts/Crafts, Fencing and much more!
All the new dates and fees have been posted and we hope you can squeeze a week of fun in to your busy summer plans.
Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains, we’re only a 2.5-hour drive from Philadelphia and a 2-hour drive from New York City.

Carla – I came to Top Ranch 2 years ago, but I couldn’t go last year because I live in Paris. Top Ranch is really fun and I always make new FRIENDS. I love Top Ranch. The horses and the instructors are soooo nice. I really want to come back next year.
Hannah – When I was on the phone with my mom she asked me if I made the right decision to come to camp and I said Yes! Now I know why, it’s because of all the people who are around me. Meeting people just like me. I love Top Ranch.
Erin – Top Ranch is a great experience. This is my first year and I absolutely love it here. It makes you realize that you’re very fortunate with your home and parents. I love Top Ranch. It is amazing!
Sarah – Every year I count down to the day that I get to come back to Top Ranch. I have so much fun between the ranch, which is my favorite, and all of the awesome Timber Tops activities. The lake is my favorite. I love camp and know that I will come back for as long as I possibly can! I LOVE Top Ranch!
Christina – My first year here has been so much fun. My favorite thing to do in Top Ranch is to ride because you get to canter and learn new things. I have made a lot of new friends and am having so much fun with Top Ranch!
Nevin “Squirrel” – Top Ranch gets better each and every year. You learn to live a new, interesting life here and get to do your favorite passion every day. I’ve learned many new things and made many new FRIENDS!
Lucia – This was my first year at Top Ranch and I love it! Also, this is my first year riding English Saddle. I usually ride Western, but now I think I might like English better now. And the instructors are so nice. I love Top Ranch!
Our TOP Adventure Team had a blast and truly experienced an amazing journey while up here in the mountains:
- Conquering all three of our adventure courses
- Canoeing the Delaware
- Hiking Shohola Falls
- Hiking/Climbing/Camping the Appalachian Trail
Of all the skills learned and successful adventures, our TOP Campers made lifelong friends and were able to participate in our incredible traditional camp activities; you can’t beat waking up at the crack of dawn to jump in the lake and join ‘The Polar Bear Club’.

The Top Ranch Riders have been here for 3 days and they are having a great time! Their days have been filled with mornings at the ranch and afternoons spent at Timber Tops! This morning they interviewed each other about their favorite horses so far, and what they love about CTT .

What has been your favorite activity so far?
Kyra…Being at the ranch. Lucia…I love having the chance to do camp activities. Megan…Same as Lucia! Amber…Working at the ranch. Nevin…I love so many things here it’s hard to list. There are a lot to choose from. Carla…Everyting, but especially the lake and the ranch. Sarah…The food and being at the lake. Christina…I really like horse back riding. Bianca…The food, lake and the ranch. Hannah M…The lake. Skyelar…Being at the lake. Hannah A…Riding and the lake. Erin…I like riding, the lake and the food. Katie “Jo” Joseph…I love getting to know all of the riding campers! I can’t wait for more good times together!
Yesterday, campers had their highly anticipated “Alotta Ricotta” class. Campers received a hands-on demonstration where they learned the science of cheese making; most importantly, seeing how the curds separate from the whey, producing a delicious ricotta cheese. We then used our homemade ricotta in 3 different ways: individual lasagnas, blueberry ricotta pancakes and chocolate chip filled cannolis.
In the afternoon, the campers enjoyed a few popular camp activities: Rifelry & Archery. It was a first for many of our top cookers but certainly enjoyed by all! A fun dip in the pool during recreational swim then back to the bunks to prepare for dinner. An exciting summer storm rolled through the camp but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our dinner. The night ended with a fun social up at Hughie Hall under the stars. Getting ready for our last fun filled day with our Top Cooks Family!
Howdy! The TOP Adventure team has been out on the road, the water and now, the woods. After hiking and canoeing for over fifteen miles yesterday, our team set up camp, cooked out, and slept in the woods; a night to remember under the stars!
Today, when we awoke, the team cleared the campsite, making sure to leave no trace; clean and green! On the drive back to camp, we stopped at nearby Shohola Falls and Raymondskill Falls for some hiking, climbing and a little R & R on the rocks and under the sun – it sure was hot!
It’s been a real learning experience; our team has used their adventure course climbing skills on free standing mountains on our hikes and climbs (but always on belay!).
TOP Adventure Camp is flying by, but we still have so much more to do! The adventure continues…
Downward Dog, Peacock & Plank – This morning our Top Cooks headed up to the yoga studio for a special yoga class. Then, on to the bus. We headed down to Lake Wallenpaupack to experience the gorgeous weather, the picturesque lake and a special picnic lunch; the campers deserved it. The day would not be complete without some fun games, some of which included: swimming in the lake, volleyball, uno, a watermelon eating contest and last but not least, ‘find the strawberry’. This game required each camper to dive in to a tub of whipped cream and find a strawberry using only their mouth; no hands! Although a mess, it was a whole lot of fun!
We ‘topped’ off the evening with a tie-dye project up at Arts & Crafts. Rest assured parents, you will see some colorful creations on Saturday! Then, over to the canteen we went for our evening treat. Campers were allowed to select one of their favorite pieces of candy before heading back to the bunk to rest up for another great day in the mountains!
